A 100% cotton Komebukuro (Japanese Rice Bag) stye bag in fabric featuring kittens and flowers in pretty spring pastel shades.

A Komebukuro is a Japanese cotton drawstring bag which was used to carry offerings of rice to Japanese temples or shrines. The word literally means rice (Kome) bag (bukuro).

 

All sides are approximately 6" square. Each side featuring fabrics from the same design set patchworked together. Fully lined with 100% cotton fabric with a pocket inside and two little loops for you to hang stitch markers or charms on. It closes with a drawstring with a fabric rosebud on each end and has a strap for ease of carrying or hooking over your arm.

 

Ideal for a knitting or crochet project bag (you can see in the photo(s) that two 100g balls of yarn fit in easily); or for sewing supplies; or make up - whatever takes your fancy!
